ACU Computing Scholarships: 2026 Workshop Scope and 2027 Awards
Separate the workshop’s 2026 Launch statement from the 2027 Executive Dean’s and Global Horizons computing awards, including their different eligibility groups.

ACU’s computing workshop describes an International Launch Scholarship with a 20% tuition fee reduction for specified computing courses commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2026. That is a statement about the offer presented in the workshop, not permission to carry its percentage forward to a different intake.
The 2027 scholarship rules checked for this article use different award names and eligible nationality groups. Keep the award, year, course and conditions together when comparing the figures.
What the 2026 workshop actually says
Slide 6 names two courses: the three-year Bachelor of Computer Science and the four-year Bachelor of Computer Science/Master of Data Science. It associates the 20% reduction with Semester 1 or Semester 2 commencement in 2026 and says no scholarship application is required.
The slide is a summary, rather than a complete historical set of terms. It does not establish every eligibility restriction, continuation rule or interaction with another award. Its “no application required” wording does not remove course admission requirements or establish an individual entitlement.
The durations identify the courses. They should not be used on their own to calculate the number of discounted invoices, the treatment of credit or the effect of changing courses. Nor does the slide establish funding for a 2027 entrant.
The named 2027 awards have different eligibility groups
The current official terms explicitly list both computing courses under the following awards for students commencing in 2027:
- ACU Executive Dean’s International Scholarship: 20% for the named computing courses. The published nationality list is Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, South Korea and Taiwan.
- ACU Global Horizons International Scholarship: 25% for the named computing courses. Its nationality scope is Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and the Latin American group specifically defined in its terms.
These are separate named awards. The 25% rule is not a reason to replace the workshop’s 2026 Launch figure, and the identical 20% number does not establish that Executive Dean’s and Launch are the same award. Do not infer a renaming or an extension of the old offer from percentages alone.
For example, Malaysia appears in the published Executive Dean’s list. A Malaysian applicant should not assume that Global Horizons’ 25% applies simply because it names the same computing course.
Automatic consideration still has conditions
Both 2027 awards provide automatic consideration through admissions, with eligibility advice from ACU and selection on academic merit. They cover eligible Australian-campus study, excluding online, require an assessable qualification meeting course entry requirements, and exclude Study Abroad or Exchange attendance. Admission, visa and other compliance conditions still apply.
The published fee-reduction period is tied to the course’s minimum CRICOS-registered duration. Continuing conditions include remaining in the same course, paying required tuition fees on time and agreeing to student-ambassador promotional activities. Read the full terms alongside your own offer.
The two awards cannot be held together or with the specified Flourishing Lives and Health Sciences Towards Brisbane 2032 scholarships. Where applicants qualify for more than one of those awards, the rules provide for the greater-valued award. This is not a statement about every other grant or funding arrangement at ACU; those need their own terms.
Use the award attached to your intake
A tuition reduction does not establish that living expenses or every study-related charge are covered. Confirm the named award, applicable course, intake, percentage and continuing obligations before budgeting from a reduced fee.
The useful comparison is therefore specific: a 2026 Launch statement in the workshop, and separately verified 2027 Executive Dean’s and Global Horizons rules. A percentage without that context is not an individual funding commitment.
